HYDERABAD, 15 May 2023: Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated the EEI Golden Jubilee Auditorium at Extension Education Institute (EEI) in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad recently.

The auditorium, which was built at a cost of INR 10 crore, has a seating capacity of 500 people. It is equipped with modern audio-visual facilities, including a large screen, projectors, and sound system.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Tomar said that the auditorium would be a valuable asset for the agricultural community in Telangana.

He said that it would provide a platform for farmers, scientists, and researchers to share their knowledge and experiences, and to collaborate on new ways to improve agricultural productivity.

Tomar also said that the government is committed to supporting the agricultural sector. He said that the government has launched a number of schemes and initiatives to help farmers, including the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, which provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers.

The Telangana State Minister for Agriculture, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, also spoke at the inauguration ceremony. He said that the state government is committed to providing all possible support to the agricultural sector. He said that the government has been providing subsidies on agricultural inputs, such as fertilizers and pesticides, and has been investing in irrigation projects.

The Vice Chancellor of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Dr. V Praveen Rao, also spoke at the inauguration ceremony. He said that the university is committed to providing quality education and training to students and farmers. He said that the university has been conducting a number of training programs for farmers on various agricultural practices.

The EEI Golden Jubilee Auditorium is a state-of-the-art facility that will be a valuable asset for the agricultural community in Telangana.
