INDORE, 26 June 2020: The Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA), a national level body representing the soybean processors, farmers, exporters has said in its 2020 season (October 2019 to September 2020) estimate that outpt of soybean crop will be at 93.06 lakh tonnes, as compared to 109.33 lakh tonnes recorded during October 2018 to September 2019.
Inodre based association also said that soybean crop arrival has also fallen by 62.45 lakh tonnes till May 2020, as compared to 84.75 lakh tonnes arrived as on May 2019.
Crushing till May 2020 also dropped by 20.30 lakh tonnes at 49.20 lakh tonnes, as compared to 69.50 lakh tonnes crushed till May 2019, the association release added.
It also said that estimated soybean export for oil year 2019-2020 has been revised to 1 lakh tonnes, against 1.5 lakh tonnes.
However, SOPA estimated crushing of soybean for oil year 2019-2020 revised upwards from 69 lakh tonnes to 70 lakh tonnes, while estimated exports for oil year 2019-2020 revised from 6 lakh tonnes to 7 lakh tonnes.
Carry over stock of soybean at the end of September 2020 revised to 12.76 lakh tons.
