As per preliminary reports received from the States, the total area sown under Rabi crops as on November 25, 2016 stands at 32.76 hectares, as compared to 31.31 hectares this time in 2015, according to Indian agriculture ministry said in a statement.

Wheat has been sown/transplanted in 12.71 million hectares, rice in 0.68 million hectares, pulses in 9.50 million hectares, coarse cereals in 3.43 million hectares and area sown under oilseeds is 6.42 million hectares.
