Provivi, a global leader in pheromone-based crop protection, and Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL), a leading Indian agri-business conglomerate, have announced a strategic partnership to introduce sustainable pest control solutions for Indian rice and corn farmers.

MUMBAI, 18 November 2024: Provivi, a global leader in pheromone-based crop protection, and Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL), a leading Indian agri-business conglomerate, have announced a strategic partnership to introduce sustainable pest control solutions for Indian rice and corn farmers.

This collaboration aims to address the significant challenges posed by Yellow Stem Borer (YSB) in rice and Fall Armyworm (FAW) in corn. GAVL will introduce Provivi's YSB Eco-Dispenser and FAW Eco-Dispenser, innovative pheromone-based technologies designed to control these pests effectively and sustainably.

Balram Singh Yadav, Managing Director of GAVL, emphasized the importance of providing farmers with innovative solutions to combat increasing pest challenges due to climate change. He stated that the partnership with Provivi aligns with GAVL's commitment to supporting farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Rajavelu NK, CEO of Crop Protection Business at GAVL, highlighted the devastating impact of YSB and FAW on rice and corn crops. He expressed optimism about the partnership's potential to empower farmers with eco-friendly tools to manage these pests effectively.

Corey Huck, CEO of Provivi, underscored the significance of this partnership in expanding the company's reach into India's rapidly growing agricultural market. He emphasized the company's dedication to providing farmers with safer and more sustainable pest control solutions.

The Provivi Eco-Dispensers, made from biodegradable materials, offer long-lasting efficacy while minimizing environmental impact. These products are expected to be available to Indian farmers in 2029.
