MUMBAI, 14 May 2026: Agrizy has launched an in-house GenAI-powered formulation studio aimed at accelerating product development for global food, beverage and wellness brands, as companies increasingly seek faster innovation cycles and regulatory-ready formulations.
The Delhi-based company said the proprietary platform can reduce new product development timelines and costs by up to 40 per cent by converting product concepts into manufacturing-ready formulations within minutes.
The AI-driven platform is designed for use across packaged foods, nutraceuticals, beauty, cosmetics and wellness categories, sectors witnessing rapid growth globally due to rising demand for functional and personalised products.
AI-driven formulation and compliance engine
Unlike generic AI applications, Agrizy’s formulation platform combines recipe generation with ingredient costing, nutritional analysis, allergen identification, compliance validation and export-ready documentation within a single workflow.
The system enables research and development teams to define product specifications including category, target pricing, shelf life, ingredient preferences, packaging options, nutritional claims and regulatory restrictions before generating ranked formulation options.
An integrated AI copilot also allows teams to modify or reformulate products through natural language prompts, enabling faster optimisation of ingredients, nutrition profiles and compliance requirements.
According to the company, the platform is built on a closed-loop AI model trained using real laboratory and formulation datasets generated from its in-house research facilities.
Arun Markish said the platform addresses inefficiencies caused by fragmented workflows and repeated manual experimentation in formulation science.
He said the system integrates ingredient ontology, formulation logic, regulatory frameworks and laboratory feedback into a unified intelligence layer that improves continuously with every product iteration.
Agrizy said the platform has enabled the company to bring five to ten times more products to market compared with conventional CRDMO players.
The launch comes as India’s food and beverage market is projected to cross $850 billion, driven by rising demand for packaged and value-added food products. The global wellness market, including nutraceuticals, cosmetics and preventive healthcare products, is estimated to exceed $5 trillion.
Agrizy stated that the platform’s differentiation lies in its India-specific ingredient ontology integrated with regulatory frameworks such as FSSAI, FDA and EFSA, along with formulation memory that learns from failed combinations and embedded compliance guardrails.
The company added that the platform can automatically flag non-compliant ingredient combinations and exclude unsuitable inputs such as animal-derived ingredients in vegan formulations, helping brands accelerate go-to-market timelines while maintaining regulatory compliance.
