NEW DELHI, 26 August 2025: Wastelink, a technology-led food upcycling company, has raised INR 27 crore (USD 3 million) in a Series A funding round led by Avaana Capital to scale its sustainable animal feed solutions.

The Delhi-based firm, a brand of Forplanet Ingredients, converts surplus food into standardized, traceable feed ingredients under its flagship product ECOMIX. The innovation aims to reduce reliance on volatile commodities such as maize and soya, offering manufacturers and farmers consistent nutrition while protecting them from price swings.

Since inception, Wastelink has upcycled over 35,000 tonnes of FMCG surplus into animal feed, benefiting more than 38,500 animals annually and improving milk yields by up to 15 per cent.

“This fundraise powers our nationwide expansion and strengthens R&D and technology to deliver cost-stable nutrition at scale,” said Saket, Founder and CEO of Wastelink.

Krishnan, Co-Founder, said the company’s approach combines “science, technology, and circularity” to strengthen resilience in animal nutrition.

Swapna Gupta, Partner at Avaana Capital, noted that Wastelink addresses “nutrient inconsistency and price volatility” while setting a benchmark for sustainable food systems.

The fresh funding will be used to accelerate nationwide expansion and strengthen Wastelink’s technology platform for future-ready animal feed supply chains.
