•      In Rajasthan, substantial area was seen converted to black gram, moong, maize etc. The government’s acreage number seems higher than actual.

•      In Nimar, Soybean crop has suffered by moisture stress because there was no rainfall during the flowering stage. This has affected the productivity adversely.

•      In MP, seed quality may get affected in some areas because of continuous rains during the harvesting period.

•      After sowing, heavy rainfall in Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar Division and some other districts, badly damaged the crop due to water logging in low lying areas.

•      For entire Maharashtra, the area under soybean cultivation has been reduced by 10% from the figure given by the government to offset the area of intercropping.

RAJASTHAN

•      Area under soybean cultivation has been reduced by 10% from the figure reported by the government because substantial area was seen converted to black gram, moong, maize etc.  as compared to last year.
